Maybe I'm Fijian!

Ni Bula! As an astute friend of mine pointed out, "maybe you're Fijian?!" We see here the uncanny resemplance of my likeness to a Fijian hand carved wooden sculptured, found at the Pacific Islander Festival in Harbour City, Long Beach.

At the festival were multiple booths and tents representing the different polynesian groups; Hawaiians, Tahitian, Samoan, Maori, and Fijians. As my friends and I were perusing through the festival, we were going in and out of the many tents seeing the different artifacts and items that are unique to the representing culture. We stepped into the Fijian tent and saw many pictures of men with large hair do's, which looke akin to afros. Ironically that day, I let my hair out. Just let it stand fro out if you will. We we walked in, Nina says, "Look Kama, look at the pictures, they have afros too. Maybe you're Fijian. Are you sure you're Hawaiian?" I thought, "maybe?!" Well without resistance, Alanapualani got me to take a picture next to one of the wooden carved busts, and sure enough, there you go.
